Andrea Corso

One of Italy’s foremost naturalists, Andrea lives on his native Sicily, but travels widely for work throughout Italy, Europe and beyond. In addition to being an experienced tour leader, Andrea has extensive involvement in ornithological research projects in Italy and overseas for conservation bodies including the RSPB, WWF, Birdlife International and LIPU.

He has written or co-authored numerous books, papers and articles, but is never happier than enjoying the wildlife and island life of his Sicilian homeland. Andrea’s high reputation as a birder goes before him, but as an ecologist he also has a keen interest and expertise in many other aspects of the natural world, including dragonflies, orchids, mammals, reptiles, land snails and, of course, the best Sicilian food! Combined with this deep knowledge, his boundless enthusiasm and good humour make him an extremely popular tour leader.
